If one of your goals this year is to get in shape and eat healthier, there are plenty of free apps out there to help you reach your goal. But, did you know that there are quite a few free apps available that also offer rewards just for being healthy? Check out a few fitness apps that offer various benefits...

1.) CHARITY MILES (FREE!):

Raise money for charity! Simply turn on the app, choose a charity, and press start. As you walk, run, or bike, the Charity Miles app will track your distance and the money earned. Bikers will earn up to 10¢ per mile; walkers and runners can earn up to 25¢ per mile, all courtesy of corporate sponsors (such as Humana, Johnson & Johnson, Timex Sports and Kenneth Cole). For most devices/apps, you must take as little as 7,000 steps a day or 20 minutes of continued exercise from your connected apps.
