1. We are not getting enough natural sunlight, which gives us a good boost of Vitamin D. I live in Austin, TX, and physicians still report that very few patients actually get enough vitamin D. Studies show that vitamin D can help prevent diabetes and obesity - two major diseases we face in our world. Natural sunlight also keeps our circadian rhythm in place so that we produce the necessary melatonin for nighttime sleep.

2. Researchers found that exercising outdoors as compared to indoors was associated with greater feelings of revitalization and positive engagement, decreases in tension, confusion, anger and depression, and increased energy. Wow! This needs to be a blog of it's own...

3. Nature provides variety! No matter where you live, the weather is going to feel a little or lot different depending on the day and seasons. Your ability to adapt and embrace the weather will keep you from being bored and will help you feel like you can conquer anything!
