December with No Regrets!

christmas

It's halfway through December!!! This time of year makes me so happy, unless I let the stress take over. From Christmas shopping, to holiday parties, and the hustle and bustle of it all, it's easy to get stressed out. How about you? I don't want to look back and wish I would have done December differently (again). Let's work together to really enjoy this month so we can bless our family and friends with our calm, happy spirits. 😊

christmas

How can we do this? I am so glad you asked! Here's my recipe:

  1. Spend some silent time everyday to refocus and recharge. I take some time to read my Bible and pray. 🙏🏻 It's amazing how life gets in perspective when I give God control instead of me.

  2. Workout in some way at least 5x/week. 🏃🏻‍♀️ This season is busy, but we are going to be so much more productive and feel less stressed if we get those workouts in. Commit to a minimum of 3 boot camps/week!

  3. Don't skimp on veggies and protein. 🥕🥩 Sure we are going to be eating some stuff we don't normally do. But aim for 5 servings of vegetables and 3 servings of protein/day and then eat the other stuff.

  4. Let's make it a goal to bless one person every day in December! This can be big or small. I am blessed by hugs, encouraging words, or a thoughtful text. I sometimes feel the people in service jobs (cashiers, tellers, etc) are so appreciative when we ask them how their day is going. Maybe a few days we can go big with our blessings/gifts. This can be fun!

bless others

Those of us who took on the challenge in November to practice gratefulness everyday found our attitudes and perspective on life looking brighter and more hopeful. Even on our lowest days, if we can focus helping someone else, we will find JOY seeping into our own hearts. Imagine what can happen in our souls this month as we seek to bless someone everyday!
