Your Brain Needs This

It's the month of November and I am once again doing my November gratefulness challenge. As I was contemplating my daily practice of gratefulness, I wondered if I should "skip" a year. Will anyone read my posts since thankfulness isn't anything "new"? Will my posts be too repetitive? Will people engage or just skip past? And then I thought about WHY I do the gratefulness challenge.

  1. I realized the first year how much better my attitude was November 30th as opposed to November 1st. I am actually a happy, positive person for the most part. I usually see the glass half full. So I was surprised to see a noticeable difference in my attitude after voicing and hearing from my readers moments of gratefulness. 😊

  2. We have the ability to affect our health through our thoughts. One of my favorite authors is Dr. Caroline Leaf. She is a neuroscientist who has done a lot of research on how our conscious mind can actually alter our brain. More about that in the next few blogs.

  3. Health and Soul Fitness exists to help us all to be healthy in mind, body, and spirit. If we can all practice gratefulness for 30 days, we are going to be healthier in all 3 zones, and we are going to make a positive impact on our community.

So what are you grateful for today? It can be simple or thought provoking. The world will be a better place when you look for moments to be thankful and share the love. ❤️
