Happy 4th of July!
I hope you are celebrating well with family and friends. We started off our day with an awesome group at bootcamp doing a July 4th scavenger hunt and a workout relay - basically some friendly, sweaty team competitions. 😁 You can check out all the photos from this morning on Facebook.
Holidays are a great time for rest and play - something different from your normal routine. It's hard not to think about how crazy things feel in America right now as we reflect on our nation's independence. But once again, I am reminded of the truth I see all around me.
Here are 3 of my "America the Beautiful" takeaways:
1. The people I come in contact with on a daily basis are amazing! They are friendly, generous, kind, hard working, and from every nationality.
2. We have freedoms in our country that many countries only dream of. It is hard not to take those for granted, or to forget about the many who have and still are sacrificing their lives so we can enjoy those freedoms.
3. And my favorite truth - we are all deeply loved by our Heavenly Father. ❤️ He created us and desires a relationship with us that is deep and personal.
Enjoy your day, celebrate the good and looks for ways to be grateful for the struggles. They all work together to make us who we are, both as a people and a nation.
